Vespers programs (normally offered on Sunday nights during CAMP season) will not be held during retreat weekends. We will happily provide directions to local worship centers.

  • Smoking:  Skyland is a nonsmoking facility. Please inquire at guest services about the nearest smoking area.
  • Spiders and other critters:  All accommodations are inside, but that doesn’t mean you won’t occasionally see a daddy-long-legs or other little critter seeking warmth from the great outdoors. We usually find that they are more afraid of us than we are of them and we work hard to peacefully cohabitate.
  • Swimming Pool:  The pool will be open at designated times during your stay for fitness or relaxation. If lifeguards are not on duty, please swim at your own risk.
  • Ticks:  Ticks are a part of life in wooded environments. Check your body carefully for ticks (keeping in mind that some are very small) after being outdoors. Ticks will be easiest to spot against light colored clothing. Your best protection is to wear long pants, shoes and socks and long sleeves. Insect repellants are available at the Skyland store. See information boards or First Aid (available at Guest Services) for more information.
  • Wellness:  You can enhance your stay by booking a relaxing full-body massage, chair massage or aromatherapy session. Treatment and service times will vary for each session and you will be provided options before your arrival.
  • Wi-Fi:  Wi-Fi is free and available where you will be staying.  There may be public computer access in Guest Services.  Availability and access may be limited.
